Some guides on where to stay in Segovia only give price tiers such as € or €€ (The Tour Guy), and one promises to name areas to avoid but never does (Descubriendo Viajes). This guide compares six areas with typical 2026 prices, named hotels, parking tips for the low-emission old town and a map. For sights and transport, see our Segovia travel guide.

1. Old Town: Best for First-Timers

Inside the walls, you are close to Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the aqueduct, with most of the restaurants and hotels, and you can explore on foot; the streets are steep and cobbled, parts are pedestrian-only and restaurants need booking at weekends (Descubriendo Viajes). It also gets busy in summer (The Tour Guy). For most visitors, this is where to stay in Segovia.
Where to stay: Hostería Natura at about €50, Hotel Infanta Isabel on Plaza Mayor from about €65, and the five-star Áurea Convento Capuchinos, a former convent with a spa, at about €120 (Descubriendo Viajes, August 2026, The Tour Guy, March 2026). Budget travellers can try Hostal Fornos (The Tour Guy).
Hotel Cetina Palacio Ayala Berganza is a charming 15th-century palace hotel in San Millán, within walking distance of the Roman Aqueduct and Segovia's Old Town. Check room rates and parking availability before booking.

2. Jewish Quarter: Best for a Quiet Stay

The old Jewish Quarter keeps much of its original layout, with the old synagogue and the Puerta de San Andrés, and is about a 7-minute walk from the Alcázar (The Tour Guy, Descubriendo Viajes).
Where to stay: Hospedaje La Judería and Hotel Don Felipe, near the Alcázar with triple rooms, both at about €60, and Hotel Spa La Casa Mudéjar, a 15th-century building with a spa, at about €70 (Descubriendo Viajes, August 2026).
3. Aqueduct and San Millán: Best for Arrivals and Drivers

Just outside the walls by the aqueduct, you are close to the bus station, about 5 minutes on foot (La Maleta Inquieta). San Millán, nearby, is less touristy, with local bakeries and plazas (The Tour Guy). If you arrive by bus or car, this is where to stay in Segovia.
Where to stay: Eurostars Plaza Acueducto, Hotel Los Arcos, which advertises private parking, and Hotel Cetina Palacio Ayala Berganza, a 15th-century palace (La Maleta Inquieta, October 2026, The Tour Guy, March 2026); Hotel Real Segovia, with a rooftop terrace, is in San Millán (The Tour Guy).
4. San Marcos and San Lorenzo: Best for Families and Views

Across the River Eresma, below the Alcázar, these residential areas are quiet, with riverside walks and picnic spots, but they are outside the walls and further from the centre (Descubriendo Viajes, The Tour Guy).
Where to stay: the apartments of El Mirador del Alcázar, at about €120, and Tu Casa San Marcos, with Alcázar views, from about €105 (Descubriendo Viajes, August 2026).
5. Outside the City: Best with a Car
Hotels on the edge of the city are easiest with a car. The Parador de Segovia, with pools and a gym, is about 1.5–3 km from the old town (La Maleta Inquieta, October 2026, The Tour Guy, March 2026); Hotel Cándido offers free outdoor parking and a covered garage at €10 a day, and Hotel Puerta de Segovia has its own car park (La Maleta Inquieta, October 2026).
6. La Granja: Best for a Royal Escape

About 15 minutes away, La Granja de San Ildefonso has the royal palace, its gardens and the Royal Glass Factory (Descubriendo Viajes). Options include Hostal La Chata at about €45 with breakfast and Hotel AR Isabel de Farnesio, with a spa, at about €80 (Descubriendo Viajes, August 2026).

When Prices Rise
Hotel prices vary a lot by day and season. On Kayak, August is the most expensive month and March the cheapest, Wednesday nights are the cheapest and Friday nights the most expensive, and recent weekend nights cost about 40% more than weeknights (Kayak). Hotels don't publish fixed rates, so compare your dates (La Maleta Inquieta).
Parking and the Low-Emission Zone
Before deciding where to stay in Segovia with a car, note that the walled centre is a low-emission zone, cars cannot reach some hotel doors, and many old-town hotels have little or no parking, so ask about a parking space in writing before you book (La Maleta Inquieta, October 2026). From the Guiomar high-speed station, bus 12 takes about 15 minutes to the centre, and a taxi about 10 minutes for around €11 (Descubriendo Viajes, August 2026).
