Things to Do in Segovia's Old Town

1. See the Roman aqueduct

Roman aqueduct of Segovia seen from the stairs above Plaza del Azoguejo

The aqueduct is the first of all things to do in Segovia and free to see at any time. Stand in Plaza del Azoguejo, then climb the steps beside it for the view from above; an official guided visit focused on the monument costs €10 (La Maleta Inquieta, Earth Trekkers).

For a memorable photo of Segovia's Roman aqueduct, climb the steps at Postigo del Consuelo beside Plaza del Azoguejo. From this elevated viewpoint, you can capture the impressive stone arches from above and appreciate how the aqueduct dominates the historic city centre. Visit in the morning for a chance to photograph the monument in softer natural light, and take a few wide shots to capture its full scale.
